Processing activities covered This Privacy Statement administers the processing of Personal Data gathered by us when you:

• Visit our offices;
• Receive communications from us;
• Browse our websites that display or link to this Privacy Statement;
• Use our cloud products and services;
• Register for or attend our events; or 

• Engage in community and open source development.

The Personal Data we gather from other sources includes identifiers, professional related information, commercial information, visual information, education information, internet activity, preferences and behaviors. We collect Personal Data from the following:

• Platforms such as GitHub to administer code check-ins and pull requests.


What usage and device data do we process?
We use accepted information-gathering tools, such as tools for collecting usage data, web beacons, cookies, and similar technologies to automatically collect information that may enclose Personal Data as you navigate our services, website or interact with emails we have sent to you.


Device and usage data 

We collect certain information automatically when individual users visit our websites. This data may include identifiers, commercial information, and internet activity information such as IP address, device and application data, identification numbers and features, browser type, plug-ins, integrations, Internet service provider, phone carrier, the pages viewed, searches, referring website, operating system, system configuration information, advertising preferences, date and times associated with your usage, and prevalence of visits to the websites. Also, we gather certain data automatically from your use of our cloud services and products. This data is used to maintain the security of services, provide necessary functionality, improve performance of the services, assess and improve customer and user experience of the services, review compliance with applicable usage terms, identify future opportunities for the development of the services, determine capacity requirements, identify customer opportunities, and for the security of UCS International Limited generally.


Whether in conjunction with other data or alone, some of the usage and device data collected by the services could be personally identifying to you. Please note this device and usage data is primarily used to identify each user’s uniqueness logging on, apart from where it is strictly required to identify an individual for security purposes or as directed as part of our provision of our customers’ services.

Reasons for which we process Personal Data and the legal bases

We gather and process your Personal Data for the following reasons. Where required by law, we attain your consent to process your Personal Data for these reasons. Otherwise, we rely on a different authorized legal basis to gather and use your Personal Data.
• Providing our services and website: We process your Personal Data to perform our contract with you for the use of our services and website and to fulfill our accountability under the applicable terms of use; if we do not have a contract with you, we base the processing of your Personal Data on our genuine interest to administer and operate our website and to administer you with content you access and request;

How long do we hold your Personal Data? 

We may hold your Personal Data for a while consistent with the original purpose of collection or as long as necessary to fulfill our legal obligations. We determine the relevant retention period for Personal Data based on the nature, amount, and sensitivity of the Personal Data being used, the potential risk from unauthorized use of the Personal Data, whether we can accomplish the purposes of the use through other means, and based on applicable legal requirements.


After the expiry of the applicable retention periods, UCS International Limited will delete your Personal Data. If there is any information that we cannot delete entirely from our systems for technical reasons, we will implement measures to prevent any further use of this data.
